Almost 49 thousand people returned to their homes in Kazakhstan

Astana. May 4. KazTAG - Almost 49 thousand people returned to their homes in Kazakhstan, reports the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
“48,611 people returned to their homes. 5,961 people remain in evacuation centers,” reads the report.
More than 14 million cubic meters of melt water have been pumped out since the beginning of the flood.
“Water was diverted from 8,189 private residential buildings and 2,988 courtyards. More than 14 million cubic meters of melt water were pumped out, more than 7.7 million bags and 1.5 million tons of inert material were laid,” the statement said.
