I never expected that most severe charges would be brought against me - Bishimbayev

Astana. May 4. KazTAG - Kuandyk Bishimbayev once again stated that he considers himself guilty of the death of his common-law wife Saltanat Nukenova, but does not admit guilt in premeditated murder.
“It’s really my fault for what happened. Immediately after the arrest, I said that I was guilty, but I never expected that literally two days later, without any explanation, or any justification at all, I would be presented with probably the most severe charge that could be. That I deliberately... conceived, planned and with particular cruelty killed the person I love,” Bishimbayev said.
He once again emphasized that he considers himself guilty of Nukenova’s death, but does not admit guilt in premeditated murder.
“I want to dwell in more detail on these videos, for which I am actually very ashamed. My behavior there is disgusting and low. But at 6.43, when the video recording starts, if you watch it, you will see all the damage that the examination found. That is, there was no beating after 7.15, there were no crushing blows, no kicks to the head. There is a clarification on my part, emotional, I didn’t have enough patience, I wanted to hurt her, but not kill her under any circumstances,” Bishimbayev said about the videos filmed on the night of Nukenova’s death.
The defendant stated that he did not testify during the investigation because he was in “emotional distress.”
